4 months and a day

Yup, previous post July 11th, today, Nov. 12th.

Just found out that I have one comment.

How have things been going since my last post ?

Glad you ask :-)

Hard to say. I practically stopped spending money on Internet marketing related purchases. Paid for a 3,500$ coaching program that should help me focus on getting something going.

Am in the process of finishing my last remaining contractual commitments to my existing business.

I now subcontract practically everything and am in the process of finding people to subcontract the two things I can't subcontract yet.

That should free me up a lot of time so that I can concentrate on getting an online business going.

I give myself a two month turnaround because in the meantime, my income drops to near zero so I have to feed off my savings.

Thing is, it is the only way I know to put pressure on me to perform. Put the gun to my head, so to speak.

Since I love scuba diving, my first online venture will be related to the wonderful world of scuba diving.

It's been 5 months

Five months since my last entry. It's not that I have nothing to be grateful about it's just that I am very busy building another company involved in internet marketing.

Internet marketers are very aggressive and I have been busy buying countless products and listening to hundreds of hours of recordings, teleseminars, webinars and live seminars. I also have bought several books and ebooks and software and courses -- all to show me how to make money online. I am now 10K poorer and am so busy with all that teaching material that I have trouble finding the time to actually set up something on the net.

I have been at "he almost there" stage for the past two months now but there always seem to be apiece missing, a bit of information that I still need. In between all of that, I have, more than ever, the need to make money with my current business so that I can afford all of those expenses.

Ah well it appears that this is just the beginning since succesful online marketers routinely spend 100,000 dollars per year in tuition, training, seminars etc . . .

6 gratitudes a day

Some gurus say 6, others say 7, the most ambitious say 10 gratitudes a day. One is supposed to take some time each morning upon waking up to recite 6 to 10 gratitudes. Others say it is at night. Others say morning, midday and before bedtime. What is not clear is if one has to think of a new set of gratitudes for each instance or if one is allowed to use the same ones over and over until new ones pop into mind :-)

Some days are better than others. Actually, it is not so much that you have a bad day it's just that if you go through an uneventful day, what do you have to be grateful for? Oh! I had a great day. The world didn't blow up in my face, terrorists did not burst into my home and taken me hostage, The bank did not foreclose on me. I mean how absurd can one get? Hey, today I just sat at my computer, like I do everyday. I did the jobs that had to be done, like I do every day. So, I guess, like this morning and yesterday morning, noon and nite and like tonite, I have to be grateful that I have a PC, and a chair, and a house, and electricity, and a fast Internet connection, and somenone to send contracts over to me on a regular basis so that I can pay my bills on time.

Maybe I need more action in my life so that I can come up with new and fresh things I can be grateful for. Like when I go scuba diving, I could be grateful that a shark did not eat me up. Given that I was diving in a freshwater lake with no direct connection with an ocean may have helped in that matter but still, I'm grateful.

I guess for today I can be grateful that:

1)I have electricity
2)a working PC
3)fast internet connection
4)my home based company
5)money in the bank
6)a roof over my head
7)my 5 senses
8)high bandwidth brain
9)access to more positive thinking self-empowering teaching material that I can shake a stick at.
10) finally, the health and energy to actually take time to put into practice what I am learning in order to better myself

There you go, 10 things to be grateful for.

Now I can relax and watch a DVD tonite. Hey does that count as number 11 ?

Getting started with gratitude

Gratitude is an important part of the law of attraction. In order to reach out for what we want, we have to be aware of what we already have.

It also makes us look more into ourselves and get to know who we really are.

By getting into the habit of being thankful on a daily basis, it is hoped that we can become a better person and feel worthy of all the things we receive because we are grateful for all that we receive -- small things big things every thing.
